Master’s Programme in Fashion, Clothing and Textile Design

The Fashion, Clothing and Textile Design Program is a launching pad for new ways of creative thinking, ideas and innovation.
 

The study program empowers and encourages artistic and professional expression and prepares students for the ever-changing and fast-paced global industries of fashion and design. At the very heart of the program is its internationally renowned education in Fashion and Textile Design. The larger context of Aalto University offers the students of the Fashion, Clothing and Textile Design Program vast opportunities to create their own individual and multidisciplinary pathways and enhance their competences across sciences, technology, sustainability and entrepreneurship. Students can also specialize in Technical and Functional Apparel and Accessory Design, 3D Surface Design across multiple industries and disciplines as well as Wearable Technology.  Conceptual Thinking, Color and Material Strategy, Collection and Portfolio Intelligence and Creative Brand Identity are also among the key focus areas. The Fashion, Clothing and Textile Design Program students are talented, highly creative, motivated, passionate and open-minded.  The demanding yet rewarding studies require a full-time commitment.
 

The program’s  graduates can be found working in the design teams of international top brands and fashion houses varying from Marimekko, Levi’s, Diesel and Nike to Lanvin, Calvin Klein Collection, Balenciaga, Alexander Wang and Saint Laurent Paris. The Fashion and Collection Design Program has also been featured in numerous established international Medias including Wallpaper, Another Magazine, Dazed, A Magazine Curated by, Showstudio.com and various editions of Vogue and Elle magazines.
