What will a campus look like in the future? Aalto University believes its campus in Otaniemi can become an open city for everyone.

Join us for an evening of keynote talks and inspiring discussion on 30 May 2018 at 16–19.30 in Dipoli! The keynote speakers will introduce ideas for sustainable urban change and new architecture in the development of the campus. Hook’18 will be a fantastic opportunity to learn from the leading international experts and to participate in the multidisciplinary conversation on the urban transformation of the Otaniemi area.

Keynote speakers

Michel Rojkind, Creative and founding partner of Rojkind Arquitectos will present his silo-breaking innovation philosophy

Charles Landry, Urban planner and author will launch his latest book The Civic City in a Nomadic World

Idil Gaziulusoy, Assistant Professor in Sustainable Design at Aalto University will introduce her pioneering design research and teaching on urban sustainability transitions

Antti Ahlava, Vice President in Campus Development at Aalto University will showcase the Aalto University campus vision

Hilla Rudanko, founding partner at Architects Rudanko + Kankkunen and member of the Uusi Kaupunki urban design collective will moderate a panel discussion with the speakers, including a Q&A with the audience.
 
After the seminar, the discussion will continue with refreshments served in the lounge. The event is hosted by Aalto University Campus Development.
