Designing Soul - First Annual Color and Material Design Event

Event showcases recent color and material design explorations and masterpieces by our design students.

Designing Soul Event celebrates the new focus in Colors and Materials at the Department of Design in the School of Arts, Design and Architecture.

The Designing Soul will be a yearly conference with it’s first edition now in May of 2015. It will function as a platform for sharing the newest research and innovation in colour and material design, a training platform for existing companies and students and produce positive spillovers on the community and build strong relationships across world wide industry.

Prior to the Designing Soul Event, an Open Call for students in the design department will be organized to exhibit their color and material design related student works at the event. One student will be chosen through a pitching competition to become a keynote in the seminar.

In addition, a National Design Competition will be announced at the Designing Soul Event to re-envision the Helsinki Marketplace for 2017 centennial year.

This event is by invitation only and it is part of Aalto Festival. #aaltofestival
