The concepts are the outcome of Aalto University’s course Advanced Form Exploration Project. The main aim of the course is to provide students with a deeper understanding of aesthetics that can stand the time, and to discuss the differences between over-design and the essence of understandability. Students of the Collaborative and Industrial Design MA program have been working on coffee makers and other kitchen appliances. Inspirational sources for the course consisted of modern, sophisticated architecture, the built environment, new materials and food culture. Habitare, The Block, stand 7H10.
